JW Winco has added glass fibre-reinforced polyamide clamp connectors to its standard product line for tube-based construction for building machinery and plants.
While high-performance clamp connectors have traditionally been made of metal, plastic connectors can be beneficial in applications where corrosion resistance is important, weight is limited or visual clutter must be minimized. They can withstand temperatures up to 100 C (212 F).
Depending on the tightening torque of the screw connections, JW Winco lists the axial extraction force, the radial torsional moment and the rotation moment if an articulated axis is present. The tubes are fixed in place with socket cap screws and nuts of stainless steel or with a hand lever, specially adapted to the plastic.
