Hamilton-headquartered engineering firm mcCallumSather is expanding to Toronto with the establishment of a new office on Sterling Road, in a space previously occupied by architecture and design firm studioCanoo.

“Establishing a Toronto home base opens new possibilities for us, not only in terms of business development, but also in terms of strengthening our relationships with clients and collaborators across the region,” says Drew Hauser, director of design and business development.

Previously, the firm has added branch offices in Kitchener and Kincardine, Ont. With its entry in the Toronto market, its team grows with the addition of senior project architect Greg Latimer (pictured, left) and senior architect Ian Huff (right), who were previously with studioCanoo as managing principal and design director, respectively.

Latimer has more than 30 years’ experience, having lead design projects ranging from historic building renovations to multi-unit residential housing developments. Huff has more than 10 years’ experience working on projects in Toronto and internationally. The two have long worked together.

“We’re delighted to welcome Greg and Ian,” says Hauser. “Their extensive experience and strong design sensibilities will greatly enhance our ability to deliver impactful projects. “
